Why might you want to know how to install fonts on a mac?
Because fonts are a very important part of design.
They can set the mood for the images that you make to promote your content, blog or marketing material.
Look at the two images below:
Its obvious that the font used in the image on the right creates a mood that is more in line with the subject of the image.
Installing Fonts on the Mac is Easy
But where do you find free fonts?
There are a lot of fonts you can get for free. Not all fonts are free, of course, but many beautiful ones are.
A site I like a lot is dafontfree.io
Once you choose a font that is right for your project, download it, and then unzip it.

Once you have the contents of the zipped file unzipped, you simply double click on the font name and the Mac will go ahead and pop up this box:
Click on ‘Install Font’.
Once the font is installed, this screen will pop up:
That’s all there is to it.
Now you’ll have access to that font when you use Photoshop, Gimp, Word or any other application that loads fonts from your computer.
